Organic Line

This is an example of organic lines because these shapes cannot be named. Instead they are free form.

Rectilinear Line
This sketches uses rectangular lines to form the building. These lines are clearly defined and can be labeled. They make shapes we can name.

This is image shows organic shape, in that, no shape can be clearly defined. All the lines form odd shapes.

This is an example of geometric shapes because all the shapes can be named, square, triangle, circle etc.

Scale (show a difference in size)
This is image shows proportion because the match stick are quite large compared to the girl. This is an abstract perspective because it isn't a normal view.

Symmetry
This is an example of symmetry because you can evenly cut this piece down the middle and each side mirrors one another.

Asymmetry
This image is an example of asymmetry because even though the each side of the piece does not mirror the other, the piece is balanced.

This is an example of repetition because of how the artist used the hands.

This is an example of actual texture because it can be felt.

Simulated Texture
The image on the right is an example of simulated texture.  The woman's shirt has a clear print on it, but if you were to touch it, it would not have texture, it would be flat.
